Jeju Island Vacay

Assalammualaikum wbt..

I guess I haven't shared our trip to Jeju Island, South Korea on August last year. This was Hans' first overseas journey and he was 7 months old at that time. The flight took us 6 hours and I have been dreaded that he will be in his 'good behavior' along the way to Jeju Island. Travelling with a baby on a plane who are such energetic, not to mention emotionally labile pint-sized little people can be exhausting. I've taken my daughter everywhere and the thought of giving up travelling for the sake of a long flight with a very energetic toddler and now with a baby are not an option. The end reward of a new destination is what it's all about!

As a family, we have so many fond memories of our little ones experiencing new sights, smells and sounds in a foreign country, making it totally worth every minute on a flight. So with all the positive vibes in the world, I have tackled the best way to execute the task head on! I packed so many foods for my children although it can be pretty annoying bringing an entire extra bag of food, but if their tummies are satisfied and they're chewing, they are quiet! This has to be one of the best tips for travelling with a toddler I've  ever given.
So we survived the 6 hours journey. Bravo to me, haha!
Ok, back to our trip to Jeju Island😄
On the day we arrived Jeju, we were hit by Typhoon Soulik. It was unexpected I must say because it was Summer time! Anyway, we wasted our 1 day trip by staying at our apartment eating the convenient store food. We tried our luck by visiting the museum as it was the only nearby indoor attractions we can go. See the gloomy sky of the typhoon's aftermath? But I love this photo though😂
The thunder storm last for 24 hours and the next day was BEAUTIFUL! The sky was pretty blue serene with light fluffy clouds and we starts our adventure to Seongsan Ilchulbong Park just opposite to our apartment. We have planned earlier to visit Udo Island unfortunately we have to skipped that in our itinerary due to the typhoon event the day before.
Seongsan Ilchulbong-which is also called the 'Sunrise Peak'. It was one of the UNESCO World Heritage site. Even though we hiked half the hill, the view is as beautiful as you view the whole place from the top.  Don't forget to wear comfy shoes!
Seopjikoji Light House where you can see Seongsan Ilchulbong at the background.

Lunch at Haenyouijip Seafood Restaurant nearby Seopjikoji
Us at Jeju Folk Village. My husband love this place so much (He is so into history). There so many traditional houses at the mountain village, fishing village, botanical garden, market place and old government building.

This juice is so delicious you must try!
The famous Jeongbang waterfall which the only water fall in Asia that falls directly into the ocean.

Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
Seongnimyo Bridge-walking distance to  Cheonjiyeon Waterfall

Had our lunch at Jeju Brother Seafood

  All time favourite banana milk
Jusangjeoli Cliff
Jeju Green Tea Maze park

My favourite place-Camilia Hills ( I think this is every mom's favourite place) 😁

Also my favourite place at Singchangri Windmill Coastal Road

Hyeopjae Beach. This area felt like a beach town, instantly recognizable even though it didn't resemble any beach town I've ever visited. But the beach is so dang beautiful!

The famous Bomnal Cafe in Jeju Island and that's the wrap our trip to Jeju Island.

For those parents who wondering whether or not you need to have baby seat in your rental car, the answer is YES you do need one and you can request the rent car company to include in your fee.

Saving the best for the last-Me!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t..
B's nature of work leaves me with no choice but to be independent. His work schedule knows no weekends and public holiday. But a kaki jalan I am by nature and nurture, what if it's only me and Aulia'? bring it on! Nak keluar jugak! I thought  it was impossible at first but naaa, practice makes perfect, I am so used to it already, you'll be surprised of what I can do with only one hand. Haha The skills develop naturally. From folding stroller and do groceries shopping while pushing the cart and her stroller? I have done all that. But there are time I do need hands from strangers, and kudos to Malaysians, they're helpful. And I think this is the perfect bonding time because Aulia' is with her baby sitter during the weekdays.

So there are times, I'd love to doll up, but now I have a plus one! How? I doll her up as well! luckily she's a daughter, dear God thanks for being so understanding! I am grateful! Tutu you say?! Of course! and…

The Hi5 Concert in Malaysia

Assalamualaikum wbt..
My little girl was so giddy about the Hi5 concert in Malaysia since we bought the tickets couple of months ago. She keep saying she's gonna dance along with the Hi5 songs with her friends in front of the stage. We bought the concert tickets via online at TicketPro.com and the concert is held for one week until before the xmas.  One ticket for Aulia' at the Mosh Pit area costs about RM 283 while another two tickets for hubby and myself costs about RM 113 per person.

We came a bit earlier than the show at KLPAC after having our lunch at home and we visited the lobby area and bought  Hi5 souvenir for Aulia'.

The show started at 2.30 p.m. and as soon as the kids heard the entrance announcement, they all are on their feet ready to rock the concert.
Chatterbox or known as "Chats" first appearance and the kids been screaming all the time when it all started including my little one. We can see her excitedly jumping around from our seat above the mo…

DIY Dulang Hantaran Fresh Flowers

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Last week was my BIL E-day. So I was assigned by my MIL to do the 'Dulang Hantaran' and it decorations including all the goodies inside the dulang.. since this is only the engagement event, not so much personal items to be included in the dulang except for the rings.. both for merisik and engagement..
Since last time during my Nikah day, I did the DIY dulang hantaran using the artificial flowers and this time around I was thinking to do it with the fresh flowers. I purposely wanted it that way just because I can save a lot of time (since I am way too busy with my PhD study and I have to travel to and fro KL-JB) and at the same time we can avoid the hustle of keeping the dulang covered with dust in the store room. Lol..talking about experience huh!
And most importantly.. we can save a lot of money.. Lemme show you the trick..

Sending off dulang for fresh flower decorations can cost you up to RM75 to RM150 per tray excluding the items inside the dulang. Mi…
