Preggy Diaries: 2nd Trimester

I am overwhelmed with the people who congratulated us ❤❤

Okay just a short story about our 5 months ultrasound check up. My first "legit" ultrasound was carried out by our gynae in KPJ Ipoh, Dr. Zamzida and nothing seeing our baby's heartbeat the first time felt surreal. It's something like I have been very blessed to have this munch. Dr. Zamzida was very happy we finally succeed to naturally conceived and she pray the best for our journey and the baby. Unfortunately we won't be able to do our monthly check up with her because it would be too far for us to go all the way to and fro Ipoh every month. My husband already decided on where to deliver the baby and whom will be my gynae throughout our 10 months journey. He seems very committed for baby no. 2 😊

We started our monthly maternity check up at 12 weeks with Dr. Zunita at Tunku Azizah Maternity Home, and this is our ultrasound results for 20 weeks check up. Alhamdulillah, the baby heart beat is perfectly normal. And guess what?! This time around, I had very-very-very moderate morning sickness and seldom vomit except when I'm late for dinner. I am always hungry lately but I'm not complaining. Anything for the baby 😚
Can anyone guess the gender of our baby? πŸ™ˆ Husband reaction was epic, really epic. I knew he's excited, almost cried and wanted to hug me in the ultrasound bed, but of course he can't. He held my hand and looked at me and the rest was history πŸ˜„

We are Pregnant!

Disclaimer: I have keep this in my draft for so long, somehow decided to keep it a secret because we haven't meet the gynae and check the baby's heartbeat yet when we had the pre-test at home. But since it's official, I am posting it now. All I can say is-All praise to Allah. We are finally pregnant! πŸ’–

If you have been reading my blog, it's not a secret that we're TTC since last year. Our original plan is to try another 6 months after my HSG test. Been on medication for few months after my HSG and egg (ovum) monitorings, spending money to buy meds, monthly check up and ultrasounds has gotten us so exhausted and we finally decided to stay out of TTC business for some times until this year.

Last April, during my girls trip to Acheh with Aulia', I felt this kind of having butterflies in my stomach. Later during the trip, I felt seasick from travelling via the speed boat and snorkeling (Little that I know it was a morning sickness!). But it wasn't so serious so I took it lightly without knowing that I have missed my AF (Aunty Flow) for two weeks. But I'm still having this denial feeling that I'm pregnant since getting pregnant naturally is harder for us with this blocked tube.

Another week later when I came in to the office, I started to feel uncomfortable with my inner-wear and my smell sense became so sensitive and stronger. I can't even stand the smell of karipap! Wtfish 😭 This is so unusual of me.I love food! And then I remember I still have the Clear Blue and another pee-on-stick in my table drawer. So I brought that home and decided to take the test the morning after. Husband was busy can't remember what he was doing and I secretly took the pee-on-stick test alone. To my surprise.. I saw TWO LINES!! I cried immediately in the bathroom, my hands shaking since I might be hallucinating. I send a picture of the two lines to my best friends and they confirmed it's positive!! As expected they're really happy and I was overwhelmed with joy πŸ˜‚ Oh ya, I kept that news from husband for three days and planned to surprise him during the weekend. And as expected, he cried πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I printed out the message and both pee-on-stick and CB in a small box and presented to him.

Somebody is going to be a big sister soon!

Honestly, I still have some worries now. I am praying hard that the baby will be perfectly healthy and normal. We've been waited for six years and today is the day that we finally succeed.

I still haven't formally announce to my family that we are expecting, because my plan to is to tell everyone after my first trimester.

Please help me pray for our little bundle of joy πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘Ά

Aulia' first dental visit

We were a little late getting to it, but Aulia' finally had her first visit dental check up with my friend, Dr. Intan Munirah from Dr. Smile dental clinic Subang Bestari. When we got out of the car, she happily skipped to the front door and felt very excited!

Intan was so efficient, she had Aulia' sit with her on the chair and showed her all the tools first. Then it was time to get started, Intan gave her a pink sunglasses, so Aulia' put them on, laid on the table and was ready for her cleaning and check up. Intan get her to count her teeth together while holding a mirror πŸ˜„

I was so proud of how great she did, and I think she was proud of herself too πŸ˜‡

#momdaughtergoals : Weh Island Trip

There were always been in my wishlist to do those mom-daughter goals and I have so many of them in my lists. One of them is to travel the world with my daughter. However, it took me guts to abandoned my 9-5 job and venture the world πŸ˜‚ but, one day we will, InsyaAllah.

I am beyond excited to tell you about the epic experience that me and my daughter had during our visit to Aceh Indonesia. If you have the opportunity to visit Aceh, there really is one resort that you can choose for your stay - Iboih Weh Island.

On the car ride to the airport, Aulia' was extremely reserved and quiet. I talked her ear off and I think she may have been quite a bit intimidating, knowing her father wouldn't be with us the whole journey.   We took early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Banda Aceh and arrived 50 minutes later. She woke up from her nap that morning refreshed and full of smiles. I'm happy!

We begin our journey by visiting the Tsunami Museum, Abdul Rahman Mosque and then to other places in Aceh before we took the speed ferry -'Kapal Cepat' from Ulee Lheue to Sabang Island.

We arrived at Sabang Island and was picked up by the boat provided by the chalet.

The only bag we carried for our trip-backpack weighted at 8 kg.

Panoramic view of our stay. SEA VIEW!! with hammock-my daughter's favourite.
Waiting for sunrise.
My favourite girl on earth.
Panoramic view at Iboih deck.
Us, waiting for breakfast to be served.

Ready to go for snorkeling!

Clear blue water opposite our chalet.

The Durian Feast at SS2

Guilty!

We are the Durian hantu!

This is our first ever visit to the SS2 durian stall where they sells all types of durian including the Musang King. My daughter inherit this interest in durians last year when her grandfather bought her durians in Ipoh and teach her how to eat πŸ˜„ legit!

The durian buffet stall in SS2 set up the tables and chairs for their customer to enjoy the durians.
You see how much this girl loves the durian πŸ˜‹ We opt for durian kampung that cost us RM18 per kilo.

yums!

Then and Now: of Aulia'

I know I haven't post any Then and Now post since 2013.  Imma slacker, sigh! I kept thinking about just how far we've come and how grateful I am to watch my daughter grow up. Sometimes I get flash backs to the tough (more to bless) days of handling a toddler. I literally have vivid memories of lounging together with my daughter on the bed, starring up the ceiling with tears dripping into my ears, feeling like a supermommy πŸ˜‰ Call me ridiculous, but I've been thinking so long today on what to upload as my first post of 2017. I wish I could write something as jolly as my friends feel about their awesome new year celebration, and although my years has personally has been blessed too, I don't feel like a whole-fully by posting up my academic post cause that's what happen since I was too busy finalizing my doctorate and neglecting my blog post since our anniversary trip last year πŸ˜‚

TBH, I don't have any new year resolutions except to enjoy my life watching my kiddo grow up healthy, save and sound. So there you go my first post of 2017; the Then and now of Aulia' πŸ’šπŸ’š
