DIY String necklace

Craft time!!

Over the weekend I decided to do something with Aulia' to push her a little bit in creativity- a DIY project! I think a couple of years ago I commit myself to completing one artsy project with Aulia' every month. But by the time comes, it took us hours to complete it with this kid running around, messing the stationery, not to mention try to eat them (especially when dealing with clay). This time around she's more understanding and easy to talk to :)

I took a little trip to the craft store with a Pinterest idea in my mind to do the fancy necklace for girls, but couldn't find the dang supplies I needed. So, instead I walked out with RM3.50 strings and decided to get funky with my colourful Ikea straws at home.

Nothing extraordinary, but a super easy and fun little project for 5 year old kiddo. Here's what you need..

Supplies:

String
Colourful Straws
Scissors

All I did was go crazy cutting all the colourful straws and let Aulia' put the string into the straw and turn it out into a colorful necklace.

Saving the best for the last-Me!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t..
B's nature of work leaves me with no choice but to be independent. His work schedule knows no weekends and public holiday. But a kaki jalan I am by nature and nurture, what if it's only me and Aulia'? bring it on! Nak keluar jugak! I thought  it was impossible at first but naaa, practice makes perfect, I am so used to it already, you'll be surprised of what I can do with only one hand. Haha The skills develop naturally. From folding stroller and do groceries shopping while pushing the cart and her stroller? I have done all that. But there are time I do need hands from strangers, and kudos to Malaysians, they're helpful. And I think this is the perfect bonding time because Aulia' is with her baby sitter during the weekdays.

So there are times, I'd love to doll up, but now I have a plus one! How? I doll her up as well! luckily she's a daughter, dear God thanks for being so understanding! I am grateful! Tutu you say?! Of course! and…

The Hi5 Concert in Malaysia

Assalamualaikum wbt..
My little girl was so giddy about the Hi5 concert in Malaysia since we bought the tickets couple of months ago. She keep saying she's gonna dance along with the Hi5 songs with her friends in front of the stage. We bought the concert tickets via online at TicketPro.com and the concert is held for one week until before the xmas.  One ticket for Aulia' at the Mosh Pit area costs about RM 283 while another two tickets for hubby and myself costs about RM 113 per person.

We came a bit earlier than the show at KLPAC after having our lunch at home and we visited the lobby area and bought  Hi5 souvenir for Aulia'.

The show started at 2.30 p.m. and as soon as the kids heard the entrance announcement, they all are on their feet ready to rock the concert.
Chatterbox or known as "Chats" first appearance and the kids been screaming all the time when it all started including my little one. We can see her excitedly jumping around from our seat above the mo…

DIY Dulang Hantaran Fresh Flowers

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Last week was my BIL E-day. So I was assigned by my MIL to do the 'Dulang Hantaran' and it decorations including all the goodies inside the dulang.. since this is only the engagement event, not so much personal items to be included in the dulang except for the rings.. both for merisik and engagement..
Since last time during my Nikah day, I did the DIY dulang hantaran using the artificial flowers and this time around I was thinking to do it with the fresh flowers. I purposely wanted it that way just because I can save a lot of time (since I am way too busy with my PhD study and I have to travel to and fro KL-JB) and at the same time we can avoid the hustle of keeping the dulang covered with dust in the store room. Lol..talking about experience huh!
And most importantly.. we can save a lot of money.. Lemme show you the trick..

Sending off dulang for fresh flower decorations can cost you up to RM75 to RM150 per tray excluding the items inside the dulang. Mi…
