Aulia'..you're Three!

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Here we are, one year older.

I just re-read Aulia's two years old birthday post and it's funny. Not a lot has changed in a year. She's just gotten bigger. All her favorites are still favorites.. pocoyo, barney, counting, hotdog, biscuits, chocolate milk. She loves to dance, singing, snuggle (oh my goodness, she LOVES to snuggle), she's obsessed with Frozen, her dolls & princess dresses. She's getting better at dressing herself.

If I had to describe Aulia' in one word it would be sweet. She's the biggest little sweetheart. She's silly & sensitive & does what she's asked & just loves to be home and cozy and comfortable. She's my little homie. Sure, she still has her moments..if there's something she wants she'll ask and ask and ask until you come to realize there's just no doing anything else until you've taken care of whatever it is she wants. She's persistent. Her favorite word is "why?" so many of my answers are just met another "why" until I finally ask her why she thinks it is and that's usually buy me some time.

Aulia' supposed to be joining the preschool earlier this year but due to some reason, we didn't enroll her to preschool. We weren't in a hurry to get her in one so she's currently not in any school. I think she needs something, though. Whether we do swim lessons or playground session, she needs some sort of challenge outside of the walls of our house and we're excited to enter that stage of involvement in our family.

I'm not gonna lie, the first half of two was a little tough. It was true, the terrible two's had nothing on three but once she rounded the 3, she mellowed out. And I hear really good things about after three. She can be reasoned with or bargained with and she's just so much fun. It's so fun to see the world through her eyes and I completely understand how kids get spoiled. When they start "getting it".. ya know, it's amazing to see them get excited.

Happy third birthday to my little first born. Can't wait to watch you grow one year older. I think this year is gonna be a good one. Pray :)
Happy 3rd Birthday sweetheart!

Saving the best for the last-Me!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.. B's nature of work leaves me with no choice but to be independent. His work schedule knows no weekends and public holiday. But a kaki jalan I am by nature and nurture, what if it's only me and Aulia'? bring it on! Nak keluar jugak! I thought  it was impossible at first but naaa, practice makes perfect, I am so used to it already, you'll be surprised of what I can do with only one hand. Haha The skills develop naturally. From folding stroller and do groceries shopping while pushing the cart and her stroller? I have done all that. But there are time I do need hands from strangers, and kudos to Malaysians, they're helpful. And I think this is the perfect bonding time because Aulia' is with her baby sitter during the weekdays. Her new doll with blinking eyes and annoying sound..  So there are times, I'd love to doll up, but now I have a plus one! How? I doll her up as well! luckily she's a daughter, dear God thanks

The Hi5 Concert in Malaysia

Assalamualaikum wbt.. My little girl was so giddy about the Hi5 concert in Malaysia since we bought the tickets couple of months ago. She keep saying she's gonna dance along with the Hi5 songs with her friends in front of the stage. We bought the concert tickets via online at TicketPro.com and the concert is held for one week until before the xmas.  One ticket for Aulia' at the Mosh Pit area costs about RM 283 while another two tickets for hubby and myself costs about RM 113 per person. We came a bit earlier than the show at KLPAC after having our lunch at home and we visited the lobby area and bought  Hi5 souvenir for Aulia'. The show started at 2.30 p.m. and as soon as the kids heard the entrance announcement, they all are on their feet ready to rock the concert. Chatterbox or known as "Chats" first appearance and the kids been screaming all the time when it all started including my little one. We can see her excitedly jumping around from our se

Carnaval Churrascaria

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.. Last week we had an invitation from our boss for a departmental dinner. This is the third time I join in with the whole Renewable Energy team for official  makan-makan . So we had this dinner session at a weird place named Carnaval Churrascaria, (I still had a problem of pronouncing this restaurant's name) somewhere near to the Atria Mall in Damansara Jaya SS22, Petaling Jaya. Carnaval Churasscaria is one such Brazilian Restaurant, decked out with Brazilian national colour of yellow and green. It is a brazillian style where all the meats are grilled and the waiter come to each table with knives and skewered meat and slice it for us.. For non-MEAT lovers, you may opt for the non-meety buffet..they actually have rice, pasta, potatoes, salads and some seafood. For those who loves garlic bread, you should try their garlic bread which mixed with cheese..Two thumbs up!! yummy!
