Romantic Candle Light Dinner@ Teeq Brasserie

Assalamualaikum w.b.t...

Its my second wedding anniversary on 27th November and I want to make this moment a special one to my my dearest hubby since he's been working so hard and were not home most of the time. We didn't manage to get to spend much time together last month so today, we made a point to celebrate our anniversary with candle lights. and music. Last minutes, with God's will we managed to spend time just the two of us on our special date despite all the hurdles that come on our way...only Him know how thankful I was for that. Feel like ages since we last spent time together or going on a date!

We had our Anniversary dinner at Teeq Brasserie at the rooftop of Lot 10 Star Hill. I did fall in love with the place. It had the most romantic setting and if there ever was one restaurant to impress someone, Teeq Brasserie has the ambience to melt any heart. It definitely did melt this fussy heart. The entrance itself was impressive, you walk up the stairs to get to the restaurant that is basically surrounded by the avant-garde  decor and the grand scenery of Kuala Lumpur. You can't help but feel all warm as you're greeted with nice green lawn on the walk way and you immediately feel like you've stepped into a different world.

*Sorry this pictures don't do much justice because of the lighting*

Once you're in the restaurant, you get the most cosiest feeling with the dim lights, candles, wooden floor with pleasant decor and life band that all adds up to a wonderful dining experience.

We kicked off our anniversary dinner with Teeq's signature soup.
Hubby had Potage St. Germaine as a start. Its a starch of Idaho potato and green leek leave served with garlic crouton, while I had Forest Mushroom Soup with a hint of truffle oil and smoked paprika powder. Hubby's soups down within minutes but I can't finished mine as usual. The portion was quite too big for me.
Then we had our main course, another Teeq's signature called Dream of Maryland. Its a grilled chicken breast with cajun spice top with beef bacon and farm cheddar cheese accompany with creamy mash and seasonal vege.

Hubby said the portion was small for him so I handed my remaining mash and bacon for him to finish it. People might says eating your spouse remaining food is not good. Well, for me it never been a problem since I only eat a small portion and hubby said it would be such a waste if we did not finished our food. Goodness, lucky me to have my hubby and he's open minded thinking. No wonder he is big tough. Still, I love him so much!
Hub and I were talking about our marriage life, how we raised Aulia' all these while, how we loved each other before and after marriage..he counted it one by one..2007,2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012..I was like, Okay darling, lets talk about our future,,and I was "B, I nak baby lagi boleh? hehe!"
Hubby said Okay..yeay! "Tunggu Aulia masuk playschool ke ape nanti k?"
Hoho Okay that adultery conversation ends right there.. I know he want the best for me and Aulia'..he must have planned something for us,and I'm fully one hundred percent supported him..
We then had our dessert before heading back home holding each other hand ..

Boston Chocolate Brownies with walnut and vanilla Ice cream..

Come back home very happy @ 11.30 p.m over the perfect night out.
But wait, there's more. On Sunday, I decided to cook breakfast for us and Aulia'. What's an anniversary without a home cooked meal right? Right!
I whipped out some prata, beef curry and tempura chicken and proudly learn the art of improvising my home made cooking to make my husband fall in  love with me:).
Happy 2nd wedding anniversary and for the 6th wonderful years of knowing each other. Love you B.

xoxo ShemaAulia'

Saving the best for the last-Me!

Assalamualaikum w.b.t..
B's nature of work leaves me with no choice but to be independent. His work schedule knows no weekends and public holiday. But a kaki jalan I am by nature and nurture, what if it's only me and Aulia'? bring it on! Nak keluar jugak! I thought  it was impossible at first but naaa, practice makes perfect, I am so used to it already, you'll be surprised of what I can do with only one hand. Haha The skills develop naturally. From folding stroller and do groceries shopping while pushing the cart and her stroller? I have done all that. But there are time I do need hands from strangers, and kudos to Malaysians, they're helpful. And I think this is the perfect bonding time because Aulia' is with her baby sitter during the weekdays.

So there are times, I'd love to doll up, but now I have a plus one! How? I doll her up as well! luckily she's a daughter, dear God thanks for being so understanding! I am grateful! Tutu you say?! Of course! and…

DIY Dulang Hantaran Fresh Flowers

Assalamualaikum wbt..

Last week was my BIL E-day. So I was assigned by my MIL to do the 'Dulang Hantaran' and it decorations including all the goodies inside the dulang.. since this is only the engagement event, not so much personal items to be included in the dulang except for the rings.. both for merisik and engagement..
Since last time during my Nikah day, I did the DIY dulang hantaran using the artificial flowers and this time around I was thinking to do it with the fresh flowers. I purposely wanted it that way just because I can save a lot of time (since I am way too busy with my PhD study and I have to travel to and fro KL-JB) and at the same time we can avoid the hustle of keeping the dulang covered with dust in the store room. Lol..talking about experience huh!
And most importantly.. we can save a lot of money.. Lemme show you the trick..

Sending off dulang for fresh flower decorations can cost you up to RM75 to RM150 per tray excluding the items inside the dulang. Mi…

Girls trip to Sabah

Memorial weekend after I had my HSG test, Mary, Kak Ju, Nini and I got to fly down to KK to spend three blissful days hanging out with our dear friend from uni, Jessica. The five of us studied together in UPM SIX years ago so we decided a reunion was a great excuse for me to ditch the husband and my little girl and have some serious girl-time in Sabah. Lucky for us Jess is an amazing host and planned everything out perfectly.

A few of the highlights were our stay at J Residence, the upside-down house in Tamparuli, Kundasang wet market, Desa Cattle Farm Kundasang, Luanti River Kelah fish spa and Sabah tea farm.

It was so refreshing to be with old friends and enjoy my first trip to north Borneo... and I can officially declare that I have covered most of the states in Malaysia (haven't cover Labuan yet!). yipsss!

My Instagram update for this photo: Waking up to this! -Our stay at J Residence Kundasang, the view is so breathtaking :)
Enjoying my morning view:)
